Four scissor arm awnings cover the rooftop terrace of a penthouse on the 9th floor of an appartment building in Paris, France. The installation spans four separate widths: 490×330 cm, 320×260 cm, 360×260 cm, and 490×260 cm.
For this client the demand for an elegant yet very durable solution were key. We created a compact and subtle housing and minimalistic front profile to meet their demands. Motors were steered by their home domitic system.
The characteristic scissor arm construction remains wind-resistant even at this height, keeping the terrace usable in variable conditions. The valance and the sand-coloured fabric sits cleanly against the building’s facade.
