Retrosun.eu engineered and installed 2 scissor arm sun awnings on the rooftop terrace of Rooftop restaurant in Zonhoven, Belgium, spanning close to 50 metres combined along the building facade.
Made to measure for this specific roofline, each awning runs as a four-panel construction without an intermediate roller, holding the fabric as one continuous 24-metre surface per unit. A span of this scale requires precise calculation of arm placement and spacing to keep the fabric evenly tensioned across the full width, a level of engineering that comes from years of building scissor arm systems for demanding commercial projects. Twenty-four heaters are integrated on the fabric support and wired through the structure itself.
Delivering a facade-length awning that is wind and weatherproof, reflects the craftsmanship behind the Retrosun Classic.
