Retrosun installed a large-span scissor arm awning for El Mundo restaurant in Dortmund, Germany. At 72 m², this is one of the largest single-installation projects to date, covered by a single continuous fabric of 1450 × 490 cm.
The dark fabric runs across the full restaurant frontage without a seam, and the characteristic scissor arm construction carries the span. A motorised vario-valance of 600 cm drops down along the front, printed with 5 integrated LED logos for visibility after dark. All controlled with a single push of a button via Somfy automation.
