Retrosun specializes in one thing: scissor arm awnings. We engineer them, manufacture them and install them, entirely in our own factory in Belgium. That focus is deliberate.
Scissor arm awnings are technically demanding. Wide spans, deep projections, wind and rain resistance, these are not problems you solve with an off-the-shelf product.
They require experience, precision and control over the entire production process. Project advisors, engineers, welding specialists, textile workers, installers and the many other experts on our team work together to deliver made-to-measure scissor arm awnings for every façade.

Retrosun is part of Alfa NV, founded in Mechelen in 1984. For more than four decades, we have developed, manufactured and installed sun protection systems for private homeowners, hospitality businesses and large commercial clients across Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Luxembourg.
From first drawing to finished product
Every Retrosun scissor arm awning starts as a drawing and ends as a made-to-measure installation. Between those two points, everything happens in our factory: cutting, welding, assembly, quality control.
Materials
Dickson MAX weatherproof fabrics, Somfy motorisation, stainless steel springs. Every component is chosen for durability.
Certification
Certified to CE Wind Class 2 and rain-resistant by design. Built for conditions where standard awnings reach their limits.
